A demonstration by Mandy Ho.
Currently, our team is trying to develop neuraminidase (NA)-based vaccine through rescuing recombinant influenza virus from their plasmid DNA. Through a process called transfection, the 8 influenza gene encoding DNA plasmids are introduced into cells through chemical transfection agents.
Watch the demonstration by Mandy, our Research Assistant working with Professor Leo Poon on C2i's Novel Vaccine Platforms For Influenza program.
In this project, our research team aims to develop the next generation influenza vaccines to complement existing formulations and provide better protection to public when it comes to flu seasons.
