Our team uses the qPCR machine for our mosquito surveillance project. We are screening for mosquito-borne viruses, such as dengue and Japanese encephalitis virus in the mosquito samples we collected around Hong Kong. In this project, our research team aims to investigate mosquito borne virus threats, spanning field research, epidemiology, transmissibility, public health and basic research on virus pathogenesis.
